AMPP (NACE) CERTIFICATION
Association for Material Protection and Performance (AMPP) USA, is a global community of professionals dedicated to materials protection through the advancement of corrosion control and protective coatings. AMPP represents the largest global community of corrosion and protective coatings professionals. AMPP provides members with the knowledge and resources to ensure high performance materials are used to build and maintain sustainable infrastructure. Effective 2 June 2021, AMPP merged the NACE and SSPC programs into what is now the AMPP standard program.
Certification Programs:
CIP Level-1 / Basic Coating Inspector
Completing the Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 1 Course is the first step to earning the Basic Coatings Inspector Certification. The CIP Level 1 Course provides entry level knowledge of coating materials, techniques for surface preparation and application, and inspection testing and documentation.

CIP Level-2 / Certified Coating Inspector
CIP Level 2 focuses on advanced inspection techniques and specialized application methods for both steel and non-steel substrates, including concrete using both nondestructive and destructive techniques.

Cathodic Protection 1 – Tester (CP1)
This certification is designed for individuals responsible for observing, recording, or measuring effectiveness of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems and it is an entry into the Cathodic Protection Profession.
Course Duration : 5 days
Certificate Validity : 3 years
Cathodic Protection 2 – Technician (CP2)
This certification indicates intermediate level knowledge of corrosion theory and CP concepts, types of CP systems, and advanced field measurement techniques.
